District 4-C3 Concord NorCal Helping Hands Lions Club Animal Rescue Support Project – Kalubowila, Sri Lanka

This project was made possible through the generous contributions of our club members and friends. Special thanks to our friend Waruni C Jayasinghe for her generous donation. Many of our members are passionate animal lovers. After the recent flood disaster in Sri Lanka, several animal rescue centers were in need of support. During her visit, Lion Samantha identified a rescue facility in Kalubowila caring for around 150 rescued animals. Run by a dedicated and compassionate woman, this sanctuary gives injured and abandoned animals a second chance at life. We feel grateful and accomplished to be part of this effort

The Ygnacio Valley High School campus beautification project aims to create a safe, welcoming, and inspiring outdoor space for students and teachers. By improving the environment, encouraging more outdoor activities, and supporting eco-friendly practices, this project will have a lasting positive effect on student involvement, well-being, and awareness of environmental issues. With a focus on natural beauty and community, the campus will become a place for both learning and caring for the environment.
